My parents each make very different banana bread recipes, I love them both and decided to morph both recipes together!  The crumb topping was my own personal touch 🙂 You will never go back to your own “family” banana bread recipe!

Banana Bread

Yield: 2 Loafs or 24 Muffins

Ingredients

    Wet Ingredients:
  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teas vanilla
  • Dry Ingredients:
  • - 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • - 2 cups flour
  • - 1 1/2 teas baking soda
  • - 3/4 teas salt
  • Crumb Topping:
  • - 1/4 cup butter (cold)
  • - 1/2 cup sugar
  • - 1/3 cup flour
  • - 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325'
  • Bread/Muffins Directions:
  • - Mix bananas, eggs, oil, sour cream, & vanilla together.
  • - Add sugar and mix.
  • - In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt then slowly add to banana mixture.
  • - Pour into bread pans or muffin tins 1/2 full. Add crumb topping.
  • - Bake Loaf pans for 45min or Muffins for 20 minutes
  • Crumb Topping Directions
  • - Put all dry ingredients into mixing bowl or Cuisinart
  • - Cut in butter with 2 knives, pastery blender, or Cuisinart. Should be very lumpy.
